ETFs.co.nz is a comparison and education resource for New Zealand investors interested in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). We compile reference data on NZX-listed and US-listed ETFs accessible to Kiwis, plus side-by-side comparisons of NZ investment platforms. We are not a registered financial adviser — everything on this site is general educational information.

Who runs the site

ETFs.co.nz is operated by Dividends.co.nz, a NZ-focused investing-information publisher that also runs HighDividendStocks.co.nz. The team has compiled NZ-specific dividend, ETF, and tax research since 2021.

FMA stance

We comply with the Financial Markets Authority's fair-dealing rules under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. That means:

We do not provide personalised financial advice. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any investment.
We do not publish forward-looking commentary, return forecasts, or "buy/sell" calls. (See our methodology for the FMA stance.)
We use hedging language ("suggests", "may indicate", "based on available data") — never "guaranteed", "premier", or "we recommend".
Every analytical page carries a visible disclaimer plus the "past performance is not indicative of future results" warning.

No-commercial-relationship pledge

We do not receive payment from any ETF issuer, fund manager, or NZ investment platform in exchange for placement, ranking, "best of" inclusion, editorial coverage, star rating, or any other content treatment on this site. No affiliate links. No sponsored placements. No advisory contracts with the firms we cover.

Our parent (Dividends.co.nz) operates separately and may have commercial relationships with NZ financial-services firms unrelated to ETFs.co.nz; those don't influence editorial here. If a relationship ever changes, this page will disclose it within 30 days.

Editorial policy

Source priority: issuer fact sheets > exchange filings (NZX, NYSE, NASDAQ) > SEC EDGAR > IRD guidance > reputable third-party data. When sources conflict, we cite the issuer.
"Best of" lists are clearly marked editorial selections with disclosed methodology — not paid placements. See our methodology.
Comparisons use the canonical data layer at src/data/etfs.ts (and the public /data/etfs.json feed) so values stay consistent across pages.
Reviews are reproducible: every numeric claim points to a publicly verifiable source on the issuer's website.
Corrections: if you spot an error, contact the parent at dividends.co.nz/contact. We update the page and add a footnote with the correction date.

Author bylines

Pages are written and reviewed by the Dividends.co.nz editorial team. Per-author bylines + credentials are being rolled out at /authors/[name]/ (roadmap item #7) — until then, attribution is to the publishing organisation.
